Hitomi Harama is a specialist in kimono and Japanese culture. She is passionate about preserving traditional Japanese customs, craftsmanship, and kimono culture.

Her dedication to conserving the traditional beauty of kimono and Japanese culture has led her to a wide range of activities. She has curated several kimono exhibitions and delivered talks and lectures at museums, universities, public and private schools, public events, and textile-related corporate institutions. Hitomi has also worked as a Japanese cultural consultant for the film industry and design institutes in North America.
