Beginning with a small role in Crayon Shin-chan in 1992, Yuriko Yamaguchi has spent over 25 years in the anime industry, becoming along the way a familiar voice to anime fans for decades. From twenty years as Nico Robin in One Piece to over a decade playing Akagi Ritsuko in Neon Genesis Evangelion and a similar length of time as Nurse Joy in Pokémon, Yamaguchi has worked in both leading and supporting roles in some of the largest franchises that exist to date, anime or otherwise! Though no longer involved with Pokémon, she maintains her other two roles in associated media, including film and video games.
To complement these flagship roles, Yamaguchi has also lent her voice to a number of other major franchises, playing Vados in Dragon Ball Super, Shizu in Inuyasha, Nora Lemming in Full Metal Panic!, Kawai Shizuka in Case Closed, Dr. Sonia Wakabayashi in Eureka Seven, Satomi Usami in Precure and Sarah Rockbell in Fullmetal Alchemist.
She most recently can be heard as Misaki Tachibana in Death Parade and Obu in Reikenzan, as well as maintaining her long-running position in One Piece.
